Real movement. Fictional world.
The Howie entertainment format uses recorded adventures with live audience interaction. A future tracking layer could turn reviewed movement data into progress through a fictional adventure world, while Howie’s real POV footage remains at the centre of the programme. The aim is not to show viewers where Howie is. It is to use selected movement information to make the adventure more visual, interactive and entertaining. Howie’s Fantasy Adventure Map is a concept in development. Example settings could include an enchanted forest, pirate world, space or alien world, ancient ruins, cyber city and fantasy kingdom. A real pond could inspire an enchanted pool, pirate lagoon or alien reservoir — without revealing the real-world location. This would be creative interpretation, not a public geographical map.

A tracking partner’s movement data could power visible parts of the Howie experience — including adventure progress, distance, activity, movement trails and the Fantasy Adventure Map — without exposing the real-world location behind them. That creates an opportunity to demonstrate tracking technology through something viewers can actually see and interact with, while keeping Howie’s precise geography private.
